Parental Control Agreements/Acceptable Behaviour Contracts

Overview

Roupell Park RMC is introducing Parental Control Agreements & Acceptable Behaviour Contracts to tackle the growing number of complaints from residents regarding anti-social problems on the estate.

The aim of this initiative is to stop bad behaviour rather than punishing individuals.

The problems are mainly centred around quality of life issues for residents such as threatening behaviour, harassment, racist behaviour, noise nuisance, graffiti and criminal damage.

Introduction

Encouraging good behaviour on Roupell Park Estate through Parental Control Agreements (PCA) and Acceptable Behaviour Contracts (ABC).

PCA’s and ABC’s have proved extremely effective as a means of educating parents and their children as well as enabling families to take responsibility and ownership of acceptable behaviour.

PCA’s and ABC’s can be used as part of a legal action in the form of possession orders or ASBO’s should the identified bad behaviour continue.

The aim of the PCA’s and ABC’s is to warn consistent perpetrators and their families of the consequences of their actions and give them the chance to improve their behaviour.
